Protecting Our Paws
Donations Needed for Families in Crisis
Each day those working in the Louisville School District strive to fulfill the goal that every student be successful, happy and ultimately graduate equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to sustain a satisfying and healthy career and life.
With that in mind, Louisville Schools have partnered with the United Way of Stark County to provide a Family Support Specialist (FSS) to work alongside a CARE team at each school.  The CARE team collaborates to address challenges facing students and their families and helps them overcome barriers to learning by connecting family, school, and community. CARE teams provide clothing, community agency referrals, food, health and hygiene products, holiday assistance, mentoring of parents and students, shelter, and many other social and emotional supports.
Resources for this program are donated by community members, organizations, and fundraisers. We truly appreciate the support the Louisville community has extended to its schools in the past and continue by asking you to consider a donation to the CARE team. We always appreciate monetary contributions but are also seeking any of the goods and services mentioned above.
Please feel free to contact any of the FSS’s listed if you have questions, or if you or your company would like to contribute to this cause.  We would be happy to provide more information or make a presentation to an organization or group.
