Outdoor Recess Continues
The snow has begun to fall, and it is time to remember to send your child to school with a warm coat, hat, gloves, and boots when appropriate. All children are expected to go to recess unless they have a medical reason preventing them from going outdoors. Recess is an important time of the day for students to have a free play break from the work of school and a chance for fresh air.

Conference Scheduling

We will be holding parent-teacher conferences this Spring, however, due to our current situation, the conferences will be held virtually. The elementary schools will continue to use the online conference scheduling. You can do so by choosing your teacher at or call the office at (330) 875-1177 if you do not have a computer. Click here for an instructional video if you are having any difficulties.

Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, February 4th and Thursday, February 11th. Once you have signed up for a conference time, a link for your google hangout conference will be generated and shared with you prior to conferences. Please keep your email confirmation, the link you will need to attend your virtual conference will be included in that email.

Your child's teacher may contact you prior to January 11th stating that "No conference is necessary." If you have any questions, please contact the school at 330-875-1177 or email your child's teacher.

Welcome, Little Leopards!

Kindergarten Registration
Children who will be 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2021, are able to attend kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year.  We are asking families to complete a brief survey so that we can send details about online kindergarten registration week March 22-26.  Families registering during the virtual event week will be eligible for gifts and prizes!  We are excited to get to know you and your child!

Preschool for Children ages 3-5

For years, the 5th-grade students have participated in a service project during the month of February to help raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Our school uses this month to discuss how kids can help other kids in need as an Upstander. This year with the COVID restrictions, we have to do things a little differently. Unfortunately, we will not be holding our Annual Roller Skating Party. In years past this has been a huge success for raising money to help the kids at St. Jude. In order to help try to match the money we are losing to help the kids with childhood cancer, we are doing a dress-up theme week with all donated money going to St. Jude Hospital. The school will have 4 theme dress-up days and we are asking for at least a $1.00 donation for each day. We will always take more if people are willing to give it. We appreciate any money donated to help find cures for childhood cancer.

Feb. 16th- Hat Day to “Cover up Cancer”

Feb. 17th- PJ Day to “Put Cancer to Sleep”

Feb. 18th- Blue/Upstander Day to “Celebrate Our Community Coming Together”

Feb. 19- Team Jersey Day to “Team Up Against Cancer”

ALL money raised will go to St. Jude through the K105 (WQXK) radiothon. Over the last 13 years, the Louisville City School District has helped the radiothon by donating roughly $38,000 to this great organization. Thank you in advance for helping us teach students the importance of giving to those in need.
