North Nimishillen Fundraiser

We will be starting our school-wide fundraiser on Tuesday, January 21.  We will be selling pretzel rods for $1.00.  Fundraiser Opt-Out Forms will be sent home on Wednesday, January 8.  If you DO NOT want a box of pretzel rods sent home with your student on Tuesday, January 21, please sign and return the Opt-Out form by Thursday, January 16.  The fundraiser will end on Friday, February 7.  Your support to North Nimishillen is always appreciated!

Proceeds from our fundraisers provide: Assemblies, Celebrate Success Activities, Upstander Activities and Books, Upstander Speakers, Friday Fun Activities, Classroom Equipment and Materials, Gym Equipment, Chromebooks, Classroom Books, Library Books, and Rewards for Students.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on January 30 and February 6.  Please use the link below to schedule your child’s conference.  The link will be active starting on Monday, January 13.  https://www.myconferencetime.com/les/

Your child’s teacher may contact you prior to January 13 stating that “No Conference is Necessary.”  If you have any questions, please contact the school at 330-875-2661, or email your child’s teacher.

FREE Expo for Parents and Families of Students with Disabilities

The Louisville City School District will host the Leopard Leap Transition and Services Expo for families of children with diverse needs, and those unsure of plans after high school, on Monday, January 27, 2019 from 5:00 - 7:00pm before the Royal Knights of Stark County Special Olympics basketball game. The free event will be held at Louisville High School in the auditoria. 

Full Belly Lunch Account 

Our Nutritional Service Department has set up a Full Belly lunch account to help eliminate school lunch debt and build a reserve account so that every child has access to a nutritious lunch regardless of their financial situation. click to learn more

School Closing Information

School will either be delayed or closed on days when weather and driving/road conditions are hazardous and dangerous for students and staff.  The forecasting and predicting of hazardous weather in Ohio is always challenging, and the decision to cancel or delay school must be made very early in the morning. Delays and closings will almost always be announced by 6:30 AM.  If there is no announcement to cancel or delay school by 6:30 AM, you may safely assume that school will be in session.  Click to learn more

Student Attendance

It is critical for all children to be in attendance at school daily. We do realize that from time to time children do get ill and they should be home. Excusable reasons to keep your child home would be: running a temperature, vomiting, infection that has not been treated with antibiotics for at least 24 hours, funerals, or doctor appointments that cannot be made outside of school time. You must phone the 24-hour Hotline at (330) 875-7609 or call the school at (330) 875-2661 before 9:30 a.m. to report your child off of school. When reporting your child off from school, you may also request for homework to be sent home with another student or you can pick it up in the office between 3:00-3:30p. Upon return to school, the student must bring a written excuse or doctor’s slip for an absence to be considered excused.
