The USDA has extended its “Summer Serve” food program through June 30, 2020. This means that breakfast and lunch meals will be available to ALL students grades PreK through 12 each school day at no cost to families.
Per the USDA and federal food service programs, this includes complete meals only. Individual items will be charged accordingly. For example: If a student chooses to buy only milk (or extra milk), it will cost fifty cents. However, if a student orders a full meal that includes milk, the meal is at no cost to the student.
We still need families to complete free and reduced lunch applications for the 2020-21 school year. LCSD receives funding from the state and federal governments to support the needs of low-income students beyond the cafeteria and into the classroom. Those requesting a school fee waiver must have a current, qualifying application on file. Applications are available online at https://payschoolscentral.com/.
Leopard Virtual Academy families only may order and pick up meal bundles that include 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches at no cost each week school is in session. Our pickup day is Thursday from 5-6 pm behind Louisville Elementary School at door 11. Virtual academy parents must sign up for this service at https://tinyurl.com/LVAmealrequest by Sunday. If your virtual academy student is already signed up, there is no need to again.
