LHS Students (only) Remain on Remote Learning November 23 & 24

Louisville High School students will remain on remote learning on Monday and Tuesday of next week and will return to school on Wednesday, December 2 after Thanksgiving break. We are extending remote learning at the high school next week due to the number of students and staff still required to quarantine due to contact tracing. The closure is NOT due to an outbreak of COVID-19. The number of positive cases in our district remains under 1%.

The district’s elementary and middle schools will remain open.

Louisville City Schools Calendar Change

The Louisville City School District will extend the Thanksgiving break for students an additional day on Tuesday, December 1.  On December 1, staff members will report to school for a professional development day to plan and collaborate on how to best support students during the pandemic and impending flu season.

The Board of Education unanimously approved the calendar change at its Monday, November 16, regular board meeting.  Students will return from break on Wednesday, December 2. The change applies to all students no matter how they are currently learning. (RG Drage will be in session on December 1st.)
